Awe and Wonder

On a bike ride near Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area last summer, I was drawn to a field of wildflowers that attracted what seemed liked millions of these Common Buckeye Butterflies. They might have "common" in their name, but I was struck with awe and wonder by their beauty and lust for life as they were drawn like magnets to the wildflowers. Perhaps the "Wondrously Awesome Buckeye Butterfly" would be more appropriate. I was reminded of their place and mine in this beautiful, created world. I sensed Movement within and without, and then an unexpected ease that leads toward a Peace that Passes Understanding.
